Job Description:

The candidate for this role of Talent Research Specialist – to be based in (San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Boston, Metro DC, Atlanta, or Philadelphia) should exemplify a deep understanding of and interest in the talent space and the impact HR and organizational design has on companies across multiple industries with a focus on emerging future of work research topics. Candidates coming from academia will be considered a plus.

The Talent Research Specialist would help design and execute research projects working with others across Accenture Research, even outside North America, and clients. The candidate would also influence key internal stakeholders and decision-makers by providing actionable insights related to our talent research agenda.

Accenture Research and the leadership of the Talent & Organization Practice have been working closely together to design and execute a world-class research agenda to help C-suite executives make better talent decisions while also positioning Accenture as an undisputed thought-leader on talent topics.

Specifically, the Talent Research Specialist will:

  • Collaborate in raising awareness and understanding of talent-related research tools, surveys, and outputs in Accenture and Accenture Research and continuously interact and collaborate with Accenture and external experts on the topic of talent.
  • Look to share knowledge and thought leadership on the topic across the global research team and with counterparts in marketing and with the Innovation Architecture as Accenture (e.g. organizing learning activities and create x-pollination opportunities).
  • Partner with members of the Talent and Organization Practice to understand the pipeline of research needs, ensure the appropriate resources from the research team are focused on priority projects, manage the pipeline, taking responsibility any resourcing issues, ensuring quality and seamless communications throughout
  • Seek out opportunities to constantly innovate, create and invent new ways to enhance what research brings to the Innovation Hubs and to apply the best, most unique advances in research.
  • To integrate value-adding research skills related to Design Thinking to most effectively co-create with clients and other partners of the Innovation Architecture (see a description of Accenture’s Innovation Architecture as listed below)
  • Serve as an ambassador and advocate for research at the Hub internally and externally, including the appropriate use of social media

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 2 or more years of work experience 
  • Preferred Qualification:

  • Post-graduate degree, with solid evidence of research experience. Knowledge of talent, leadership and organizational psychology & behavior areas would be considered a significant advantage, especially in terms of executed related primary and/or secondary research in that regard.
  • Any additional certificates related to people analytics or data science would be a plus but not required.
  • Experience with data science and visualization and design thinking as well as public speaking Worked with a start-up, global / large private corporation or institution, research think tank or recognized research provider or design company Presented to senior stakeholders Collaborated in a team of researchers, using research tools and methodologies, including on a virtual basis
  • Professional Skills:
  • Enthusiasm to work effectively - independently, collaboratively, and virtually - in a global, multi-cultural, multi-time zone team
  • Good interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal with critical situations to the benefit of the team
  • Good balance between analytical rigor and intellectual curiosity. Track record in interpreting data creatively and delivering impactful insights (e.g., going beyond the “what” of a research inquiry – into the “so what” and “now what”…and “what haven’t we thought of yet?”)
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
