What you will be doing… You will manage a diverse team of 16+ field technicians responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining internet and other broadband services for our customers. You will need to have: Strong communications skills orally and in writing in a clear straightforward manner Bachelor’s degree or a combination of work experience and education 4-6 years relevant work experience Availability to work extended hours when necessary, including weekends and after hours and on call as required for the needs of the business Valid Drivers License Even better if you have: A degree Supervisor/leadership experience in a field operations environment Lean six sigma certification minimum Green Belt Four or more years of knowledge of installation and repair on copper and fiber technology Basic knowledge of emerging and advanced communications technologies including Ethernet, DSL, GPON and Wireless. Experience managing contractors Strong conflict resolutions skills Strong organizational, time management, and results driven leadership experience Experience with Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint Experience providing training, feedback and motivation to employees Union employee management experience Experience with outside plant construction, electronics and placing/splicing copper/fiber Experience in administering processes and policy Education
