Our Story Databand started with the thesis that it's too hard for modern data teams to bring product to market, to understand how things are performing once in production, and how much it?s costing you to get there. We?ve developed technology that enables data scientists and engineers to easily structure their development work, quickly move it into production, and optimize their processing speed & spend along the way, using the latest and greatest tech stack (airflow, kubernetes, spark, tensorflow, etc.) What Are We Looking For? Databand is looking for someone to lead and grow our initial Sales Engineering and Solution Architect team. We are looking for a technical candidate with great client-facing skills, who can work as a trusted advisor for future customers. As a leader in the initial startup team, you will have the opportunity to wear many hats and work with many team members, including executives, developers, marketing and sales people. You will map customers? technical requirements, understand their needs, and when the needs align position our solution as the best fit for their ML/data pipelines. In addition, you will interface directly with Product and RnD to shape the roadmap of our solution. Overtime, you will help build this team into the strongest client-facing engineering team in the ML space What You?ll Do?Work with executives and sales on new accounts and opportunitiesServe as the focal point for technical aspects of the sales cycleConduct discovery sessions to determine the best way to support client data and ML needsLead POCs with our product for a diverse pool of use casesWork with developers & product leadership to align our roadmap with market needsLead user forums and meetups to evangelize the product What Should You have?Experience in software sales engineering/solution architecture and in positioning solutions for IC?s, team leads, and executivesAbility to act as a trusted advisor using a consultative and value selling approachClient facing experience with technical and business discovery capabilitiesTechnical mindset, can tackle complex process, architecture, and implementation issuesExperience or familiarity with the modern data engineering toolkit (ie.
