Respiratory Therapist / Manager of Respiratory Care Services
A large, highly respected and specialized healthcare system is seeking a Manger of Respiratory Care Services for one of their multiple hospitals throughout New Jersey. This organization is known for their quality patient care initiatives, quality standards of excellence, as well as for providing family centered care approach. There is also minimal turnover within this organization, as many of their current needs are open to due to employees retiring after 20+ years!
As the Manager of Respiratory Care Services, you will be responsible for the supervision, coordination and evaluation of diagnostic and therapeutic clinical procedures.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
Develops and maintains respiratory therapy policy and procedures.
Ensures compliance with policies and procedures by all respiratory therapy staff.
Ensures safe and proper management and administration of all therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory therapies.
Collaborates with subject matter experts within the organization, The Director of Evidence-based Practice Development and Patient Safety and other clinical leaders to bring research to the point of care.
Engages in quality improvement at the point of care through data collection, analysis, synthesis, translation, and dissemination.
Identifies opportunities for and engages in point-of-care performance improvement activities on an ongoing basis
Instructs and supervises patient and therapeutic assessments to assure optimal care.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday Friday, Days
Salary: $80,000 100,000/yr (DOE)

Qualifications / Experience:
Active NJ licensed Respiratory Therapist
At least 5 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
At least 3 years of leadership / supervisor / management experience
At least 2 years in an inpatient /acute care setting
Experience working with the pediatric population / neonatal setting, highly preferred
