Job Purpose (Job Summary):
The Insights and Analytics (I&A) team plays an integral role in shaping client and shareholder strategy for the Distribution & Marketing organization. The I&A team leverages first, second and third-party datasets to provide robust understanding of client behavior, investments, and market share impact on distribution and marketing activities. The Applied Analytics role will report into the Director, Applied Analytics and Assessment. The individual in this role should be adept at managing and understanding attitudinal, behavioral (digital), and transactional (non-digital) data sets. This individual will work closely with data scientists, data engineers, and internal stakeholders to help develop, evaluate, and operationalize analytical models for the Distribution and Marketing organization. This position requires deep domain knowledge of multiple investment vehicles and business intelligence tools, and business savvy to work within a corporate environment to sell ideas, marshal resources, and drive end-to-end execution. We are looking for a hands-on individual who is passionate about leveraging data to deliver value for Invesco?s Distribution and Marketing initiatives.


Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Promote a data-driven culture within Distribution and Marketing by providing regular insights on the performance of distribution activities and marketing campaigns
  • Leverage advanced statistical models, market opportunity, portfolio/product gap analysis, and transaction data to better understand client behavior
  • Drive awareness, adoption, and activation of our core analytics capabilities with our Distribution and Marketing stakeholders
  • Utilize data as a strategic asset to drive innovation for the firm
  • Help develop data visualization standardization across Distribution and Marketing
  • Partner with quantitative and assessment teams to illustrate the adoption of data-driven decisioning: showcase successes and provide after-action reviews
  • Partner closely with colleagues in Technology to develop and deploy appropriate business requirements to track client and shareholder data via CRM, profiling, sales, web, etc.
  • Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • Minimum 1 to 4 years of experience in the asset management industry; in-depth knowledge of mutual fund, ETF, and SMA distribution and data analytics is essential
  • Experience working with financial service datasets like DST WalletShare, Market Metrics, and BrightScope is a strong plus
  • Knowledge of data prep tools and statistical analytics packages (e.g. SQL, R, Python, SPSS, etc.)
  • Experience with business intelligence platforms (e.g. Tableau, Qlik, salesforce Einstein)
  • Knowledge of predictive and prescriptive analytics and model building is a plus

  • Bachelor?s degree in: finance, applied mathematics, economics, or other quantitative or analytical fields
