Job SummaryMagellan Diagnostics is hiring an HR Generalist!This is a great opportunity to play an influential role in a company dedicated to customer and employee experience and growth. You'd support a local team of 60+ people, and be part of a larger, world-wide organization of 600 employees, all dedicated to improving health and well-being world-wide.Key DutiesA brief summary of what you'd do:* Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace* Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies* Administer compensation and benefit plans* Ensure payroll data is accurate for corporate processing of payroll* Be the point person for talent acquisition and recruitment processes, working with managers to recruit, interview, evaluate, hire and onboard the right talent* Provide support to employees in various HR related topics such as leaves, compensation, resolving issues and concerns equitably* Work with corporate HR and department managers to ensure compliance with policies/programs and State/Federal laws* Undertake tasks in performance management ~ tracking, follow up, etc.* Gather and analyze data to produce monthly/quarterly HR metrics* Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form* Special projects and assignments as time and ability permitsQualificationsWhat you'd bring:* Five years of HR experience, with a track record of success as an HR Generalist for at least three years in companies of a similar size* Thorough understanding of general human resources policies and procedures* Strong knowledge of employment/labor laws* A flexible, fast-paced and optimistic approach to your job* Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems (e.g. Workday) will be a plus* Excellent communication and people skills, conveying confidence strength* Excellent attention to detail, producing meticulous work* Aptitude in problem-solving* Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with absolute confidentiality* Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach* BS/BA in Business administration or relevant field* Additional HR training / certification will be a plusWhy Magellan?Magellan Diagnostics is a small, growing medical device company, owned by Meridian Bioscience, providing point-of-care systems, clinical laboratory instruments, and analytical laboratory services focused on lead testing.
