Direct/manage survey operations for our NV5 New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania operations.
Experience managing other professionals, marketing to clients, writing proposals and negotiating with government agencies is required. Expected to be the signing as Professional Land Surveyor for final mapping and surveying deliverables.
Substantial knowledge in all areas of surveying, including topography, route, boundary (ALTA/ACSM), leveling, GPS, Right of Way plats and descriptions, including both field and office work.
Experience with Micro Station, AutoCAD and state of the art GPS, total station and digital leveling instruments required.
Experience with NJDOT, NJTA, PANY&NJ, NYCDDC, and NYCEDC standards and manuals.
Provide oversight, QA/QC for field and office survey work.
Experience performing survey related research is desired.
Possess substantial knowledge of principles of supervision, including coaching and mentoring, building good relationships, monitoring and documenting performance, disciplinary processes, and motivating staff.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Coordinate work requests, budgets, schedules and completion dates
General administrative tasks and processes.
BA/BS degree with survey related courses preferred.
Minimum of ten (10) years experience
Professional Land Surveying licensure in New Jersey and New York is required with the ability to obtain licensure in Pennsylvania within one year.
