One of the largest global law firms is seeking an Accounts Payable professional to join their team for a 3-6 month project with very competitive pay. The Accounts Payable Specialist will report directly to the Regional Accounting Manager, who is also based in New York.

Qualified candidates will have 2+ years of experience with accounts payable, ideally in a law firm or professional services firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, approve, and/or decline invoices
  • Maintain accounts payable reports
  • Track, enter, and code invoices as needed
  • Track client case expenses
  • Process payments and checks
  • Prepare checks for mailing
  • Assist in monitoring budgets
  • Communicate with all members of team
  • Assist in month-end close
  • Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years Accounts Payable experience (ideally with a law firm)
  • Familiarity with Trust Account software
  • Aderant Software experience (a plus)
