This leader will be responsible for ensuring our public facing web properties accelerate our ability to deliver on business goals, are highly engaging to visitors, and drive education and conversion. The right-fit candidate is able to relentlessly focus on cultivating and grooming our backlog in alignment with strategic priorities while keeping business as usual work flowing.The Director, Web Strategy is the global business owner of Salesforce.org web properties, responsible for the strategy, creation, and optimization of those properties. This talented individual partners with the Brand & Creative, Demand Generation, Communications, and Product Marketing teams, as well as our technology partners, to ensure our web presence effectively tells the Salesforce.org story. You will directly and indirectly manage a talented group of web developers, analytics, experience, and operations resources to maximize website traffic, engagement, and customer acquisition.As the leader of the web team, the Director, Web Strategy is responsible for meeting web enhancement SLAs, refining the processes that deliver both business as usual and major web enhancements. This role reports to the Senior Director, Marketing Operations and is based in our San Francisco headquarter offices.**Responsibilities:**+ Develop a robust content strategy and calendar, including governance plan, Work with the industry's most innovative marketing team to ensure the standardization, compliance, and effectiveness of our marketing strategies and tactics+ Develop, prioritizes, and manages the global website Marketing roadmap, defining major planned initiatives.+ Leads major website initiatives involving cross functional teams+ Work closely with Marketing Insights, Demand Generation, Communications, and Brand & Creative functions to optimize website for SEO and lead acquisition by identifying and implementing SEO best practices+ Proactively uncover web technology innovation opportunities, build business cases, gain consensus, and execute based on prioritization+ Act as key liason to business technology, web technology teams to ensure website requirements are represented and supported+ Responsible for managing agency, contractor relationships+ Partner with cross-functional marketing teams to track, measure and report against objectives.+ Strengthen marketing & operations processes, manage future visioning and steer changes**Desired Skills and Experience:**+ 10+ years experience in web strategy, management, and marketing; B2B experience preferred+ Web Analytics experience, including: campaign tracking, tagging, A/B testing, and tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Optimizely+ Data-driven decision making based on conversion metrics to drive new recommendations and best practices+ Highly effective collaborator within matrixed organizations; able to inspire teams and drive cross-functional projects through to success with minimal guidance+ Experience in building and growing high functioning teams+ High energy, charismatic, passionate, innovative+ Proven track record in performing well in a fast pace environment to effectively manage multiple projects+ Advanced presentation skills a bonus.+ 5+ years people management skills**Accessibility** - If you require accessibility assistance applying for open positions please contact the Salesforce.com Recruiting Department at mailto:applicant_access@salesforce.com .**Posting Statement**Salesforce.com and Salesforce.org are Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employers.
