SHI has an exciting opportunity as a Presales Systems Engineer - Cisco - Data Center! We are looking for a Cisco Presales Systems Engineer to support SHI s overall Cisco business, with a focus on Data Center. This position will support the entirety of SHI s Sales and Engineering departments, providing estimates, consultation, and support for Cisco Data Center requests. This position is required to report to the Somerset NJ office.
Will support Cisco SA Team Technical Specialists and Associate System Engineers as needed Manage queue requests and internal escalations from Technical Specialists and System Engineers Attend and deliver trainings for assigned architecture on a regular basis Perform cost/benefit analysis for products within assigned architecture Perform Cisco dCloud Demo s per architecture alignment Perform End User Scoping and Discovery Calls Basic road-mapping conversations (if customer utilizes NDA) Complex competitive OEM configuration flips Campaign partner event/initiative support (Call Blitz, Go Campaign, etc.) Rep/Cisco relationships help to explain/demonstrate SHI s Cisco technical acumen Understanding and recommendation of appropriate incentive programs that align with proposed solutions Assist with customer visits & demos Complete annual Continuous Learning goals Gold Certification Requirement Required to maintain existing Certification and obtain additional Certifications as required
Qualifications/Minimum Skills Required
Minimum 3-5 years technical presales experience Prior experience with Cisco Data Center product lines required (Nexus, UCS, Hyperflex, etc.) Desire to learn, self-teach, and teach others Demonstrated ability to lead calls with a business outcome focus Ability to support Cisco SA Team Technical Specialists and Associate System Engineers as needed Proactive, driven, and positive work attitude Excellent Customer Service/support skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills B.A. or B.S.
