Corporate Director of Finance & Business Support (Flexible Location) Immediate Supervisor Executive Director, Hotel Finance & Business Support, North & Central America Key Relationships Internal Corporate VPs, ED Finance & Business Support, Regional Directors (Finance, Sales, Revenue, HR), Hotel Directors of Finance & Business Support, Hotel General Managers, Corporate Office Relationships External Owning Company Groups, Hotel Asset Managers, Suppliers, Potential Suppliers, Auditors, Consultants, Legal Counsel Core Duties and Responsibilities Business Performance Develop and implement of analytical and benchmarking techniques that will enable the hotels to enhance productivity and cost efficiencies by working closely with VP Finance, Regional Directors of Finance and hotel Finance leaders. Utilize early warning system (i.e. Dashboard/scorecards) to highlight critical concerns, and summarize and present data to executive management, along with potential recommendations for recovery. To seek, identify and implement throughout the hotels across the region best practices that will serve to enhance revenue, guest service and improve cost and productivity efficiencies. Advise Regional and Hotel Operation Finance of cost reduction and profit improvement opportunities which can be leveraged across the region. Conduct inside and outside research and analysis of financial and business industry trends in order to enhance existing policies, develop effective business strategies which meet the changing needs of the industry and drive strategic efforts for business growth and increased profitability. By partnering with Executive Directors of Finance & Business Support and working with regional and corporate leadership teams, this position supports the establishment of target performance levels and strategies for ongoing improvement in efficiencies of operational finance and processes. Floater/ Acting Hotel Director of Finance & Business Support To be the acting Hotel Director of Finance & Business Support (DOF) at hotels within the region where DOF vacancies arise and until permanent replacement is found. Individual in this position will need have previous hotel controllership experience and meet minimum requirement as a hotel DOF and perform the tasks of DOF at various size of hotels within Americas. Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis Responsible for the analysis and interpretation of financial data with-in the region and communicating this in a comprehensible form of meaningful variations in the operations. The analysis of the balance sheet accounts, on a selected basis and the review and analysis of the monthly internal benchmarking and operational performance analysis reports. To support in the development and implementation of benchmarking techniques that will enable the Hotels in the region to enhance revenues while improving productivity and cost efficiencies. To seek, identify and implement throughout the Hotels in the Region, best practices that will serve to enhance revenues, guest service and improve cost and productivity efficiencies. To support and manage the annual budget, capital budgets and the rolling forecasts. To recommend and engage with Operations in the design, implementation, and use of methods and procedures that improve the accuracy of working schedules in the region, labor standards, forecasts, plans to assist operational staff in the Hotels. Monitor on an ongoing basis the accuracy and recommend correct measurements as necessary. To regularly review and analyze reports from buying programs for hotels with-in the region and improve costs by driving buying compliance and delivery efficiencies. To review and analyze monthly the forecast accuracy report for hotels with-in the region and drive accuracy in forecasting. Provide accurate and complete financial and management reports on a timely basis to Regional management with-in the region and the corporate office, in accordance with the company and ownership reporting requirements and policy. To participate in the development, maintenance and adherence to a single chart of accounts, payroll and expense dictionary, and the function of accounts in order that the property financial and statistical data is accurately and consistently recorded and reported. Control and Policies & Procedures A thorough knowledge of policies and procedures required. A thorough knowledge of understanding and proper application of policies and procedures. Working with Audit Services, under the direction by VP, Finance & Business Support to ensure proper control environments across hotels in the region is maintained. This includes but not limited to following up on remediation efforts with hotels post full audits, identifying audit and control common gaps which we could address centrally with best practices and any projects and work streams related to improvement in control environment in our hotels. Participate and represent Regional Policy committee and Policy and Procedures rewrite workgroup to review, discuss and approve (under the direction of VP Finance) any changes to Policies and Procedures. Performs other similar or related duties as necessary.

Post-secondary education in a related fields/disciplinessuch as Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics,Statistics, Information Systems, Applied Math, Business Administration, etc. Anequivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable for theposition. Experience in hotel accounting or operation will be preferred.Ability to work across the matrix within the corporate structure to get tasksdone and work cohesively as part of team. Highly responsible and able to handleconfidential information with the utmost discretion.

Must have excellent communication skills in both verbal andwritten form. Being the head of the data analytics, the Director of Hotel Finance & Business Support ? Hotel & CorporateAnalytics will need to be able to clearly communicate instructions andsensitive information down the line for data analytics and data warehousingpersonnel to effectively execute their duties. Communication skillswill also be needed in the collaborative capacity of the Director where clearcommunications will be needed to facilitate smooth interaction and efficientexecution of collaborative duties.

Must have excellent computer skills and be highlyproficient in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, which will benecessary in the creation of visually and verbally engaging reports andpresentations, for senior leadership and key stakeholders. The individual mustalso be skilled in SQL server reporting services, Tableau, analysis services,or any other data visualization tools.
