Disney's Ad Sales Finance Group is a group of cutting-edge, Finance professionals focused on measuring and growing the Ad Sales business across The Walt Disney Company.The team works closely with Disney's Ad Sales Revenue and Yield Management teams, Research, and Technology to develop and implement forecasting and planning tools as well as provide all measurement and reporting related to the Ad Sales business.
This individual will work closely with Disney's Ad Sales Revenue and Yield Management teams supporting Digital Addressable Ad Sales across the media networks within The Walt Disney Company (Sports/Cable/Broadcast). They will also partner with the respective Programming/Content and Research teams to prepare strategic financial plans for key forecast periods (annual budget, long-range plan, and quarterly forecasts) for the Digital line of business. They will oversee recurring deliverables including Ad Sales Pacing, Rate/Volume analysis, and Forecast/Plan modeling related to Direct Sold, Automated, and Social revenue.
This role relies heavily on a key understanding and working knowledge of the department's Digital reporting systems. A strong analytical and systems reporting background is necessary.
Assist with month close and quarter end reporting, forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans, as well as reports explaining variances between actual results and financial projections for all components of Digital Ad Sales revenue.
Provide periodic reports of consolidated Digital Ad Sales to management inclusive of revenue and key ad sales metrics.
Assist with the day-to-day support, data analysis, and data reconciliation and any other questions for Sales, Accounting, and other Finance partners.
Provide insight into trends and identify risks and opportunities via in-depth data analysis using various reporting tools. Partner with numerous groups including Disney Ad Sales leadership and Research to measure ad performance and make recommendations to influence the direction of the business.
Minimum of 3-5 years in a corporate finance / business analytics role
Advanced Excel abilities (Nested statements, pivot tables, charting, combining functions like Index, Match, Offset and Indirect)
Demonstrated experience working closely with information systems and/or strong ability to quickly learn new information systems (primarily Business Objects, Google Ad Manager, and Operative).
Experience in SAP, COGNOS, or similar financial reporting tool.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to transition seamlessly from explaining micro details to communicating how they impact the big picture
Acute attention to detail and aptitude for troubleshooting data discrepancies
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
